Orvibo Allone Smart Remote Center – Review and Installation

We will examine the Orvibo Allone Smart Remote Control Station in this post.

Let’s first look at the box contents of the device;

Box Contents

1 x Orvibo Allone Smart Remote Control Station
1 x Micro USB cable for powering device
1 x Wall mount kit

It looks like a UFO with soft lines and piano black body.

On the bottom of the device is a round, elegant metal weight that allows the device not to slip on the desk. In addition, non-slip plastic allows the device to stay still on the table. This weight can be removed when the wall is desired to be mounted.

On the side of the device, there is a micro USB power input. There is no power adapter come with the box so, you can operate the device using any 5V micro USB mobile phone charger.

After reviewing about device basically, let’s start to installation.

Device Installation

1. Power Device On

Since the adapter does not come with the device, first plug in any 5V USB adapter that you use at home to install the device. You can use your mobile phone charger for this purpose. Connect the USB cable that came with the box to the USB port of the adapter.

Plug the micro USB end of the cable into the power input of the device.

The middle part of the device will start to flash red.

2. Set Device to AP Mode

Hold your finger on the middle button of the device for a few seconds. In the meantime, the red colour in the center of the device will turn blue and the blue will start to flash.

Leave your fingers when the colour turns blue

The device will continue to flash blue. At this point, device starts to work like an Access point and starts to publish SSID information for first configuration.

3. Install Mobile Application to Your Mobile Phone

Now we will use our mobile phone application to manage our smart center. I use the Iphone in this post, and you can set up this application for android devices as well.

Search Wiwo APP from APPstore first.

Install the wiwo app.

4. Connect to Device’s New Wireless SSID

Once the application setup is complete, enter your phone’s SETTINGS -> WI-FI section

Access the Wiwo-Allone wireless network published by our device on the wireless network screen.

5. Open the Wiwo Application and Program your Device

Now open the wiwo application that you have installed on your mobile phone, skip the promotional parts and come to the main screen. Click on the menu icon in the upper left corner of the main screen.

From the opened menu, click to the More button and then enter the AP Configuration menu.

Click Next on the AP Configuration menu. Device should still be blinking blue.

Click start configuring on the next screen.

We came to the AP configuration screen. Here we will select the wireless network we use at home from the part of the SSID.

Once you have selected the network we use at home, click the save link in the upper right corner.

In this screen, the name of the wireless network we selected will come to the SSID section. Enter the password for your wireless network at home and click Confirm.

After that, your device light will stop blinking blue and will turn to solid. This means that the device has been configured properly and registered into the home wireless network.

6. Add Device to Our Application

Go back to the main menu. In the Device list menu, click the plus (+) sign in the upper right corner. We will now add our smart device to the application.

Click the Search button on the Device List screen that comes up in the screen. The software will automatically search for your device.

Our device will automatically be found when the device scan finishes. You will see our device attached to the list called Allone.

When you select the device, a time zone warning will be displayed on the screen. Pass this warning with clicking Confirm.

Timezone will be set automatically.

When you first enter the unit’s display, you will see that Air Condition, TV and STB devices are predefined.

These are just some titles, there is no Remote definitions in it, we will do the Remote definitions later.

7. Making Remote Definitions

What we actually do when we define the remote controller is to teach the Infrared codes on our remote to this device. The first time we have to teach all of the keys in our remote controller to this device for a while.

As an example, let’s choose TV. While we open the TV menu on the app, we have to select the key which we want to teach the device. For example, if we want to teach Power On IR code to our smart center, we will first hold down the Power ON icon on the wiwo app’s TV screen, at the bottom of the screen it will show that the device is in a learning state.

At this point, we will point the remote controller towards the smart center and press the Power ON button on our remote controller.

At the bottom of the application screen, you will see a confirmation message that this key has been learned.

In the same way, we teach the other keys to the smart center, which we want to introduce on the application. Now that you have introduced all the keys to the device, you will see that your television is controlled as if you are using the remote control when you press the corresponding key from your application. Now you can manage your device from your phone no matter where you are in your home.

8. Adding New Device

We want to teach another device, other than TV, STB or the air conditioner, which is pre-defined, for example our Stereo.

First, let’s go back to the main screen where our Allone device is located.

Push over the Allone device and slide it to the left. You will see 3 different menus like Add, Advanced and Delete. Let’s choose the Add menu from screen.

On the Create New Device screen, enter your device’s name (I entered Stereo in this example) and click on the Device Type menu.

Select Stereo from the Select Device Type menu.

Click on the Save button in the upper right corner of the screen.

On the screen that appears, we will see that the Stereo device has been added to the smart center’s menu.

As we did on the TV, we long press the key on the application and while device is in the learning mode, we press the corresponding the keys on our remote controller.

In this way, you can add all the devices seen directly by our smart center and manage all devices at the same time using our mobile phone by your smart center.

9. Making Timing Configuration

Our control center also supports timing settings, so that at any time we can automatically send a specific remote key to get the corresponding actions. For example, every evening we want the air conditioner to work at 17:00 before we get home. In this case, we can program the opening remote code of the air conditioner and let the air conditioner open automatically at 17:00.

Or we are watching television and if we fall asleep we want the device to automatically turn off both the TV and the satellite at 01:00. We can do this by programming the shutdown keys for the respective devices.

To do this, we first enter the relevant device’s control screen on wiwo. While on the screen, we press the three-point menu button on the top right corner. The screen will slide to the left. We will choose the Timer menu from here.

On the Timer menu, we click on the plus (+) sign in the upper right corner.

First we choose the time of our action.

Then we choose what days our action will work.

Then we choose which remote key will be activated at the specified time.

We see the summary of the action we selected, and then click on the Save button in the upper right corner.

Our first action has been added, we can expand our list by adding different actions like this.

After introducing all the remote controls to your device, you are living the comfort of managing all the devices from where we are using our mobile phone.

What should be noted here is that our intelligent control center must be located at a point where it can see all your devices directly. If there is an obstacle between the control center and the device that it will manage, the IR signals may not reach your device.

Also, do not forget that, the device is powered by an adapter and that there should be an electrical outlet in place …
